Nagaland IT Delegation Visits Technopark A high level delegation from the Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Nagaland visited Technopark on June 15-16, 2011 with the objective of replicating the Kerala Model of IT development by establishing IT Parks in Nagaland and to explore possible ways of association with Technopark and Technopark TBI. They are planning to establish a Technology Business Incubator in Nagaland to spot and nurture the IT developments in Nagaland with the support of Technopark TBI.
The delegation consisting of Mr. Vikho-o Yhoshu, Advisor to the Chief Minister, IT&C, Mr. K.T. Sukhalu, IAS, Secretary, IT&C, Mr. Imjung M. Panger, Director, IT&C, Mr.Tongtiliba Longkumer, Assistant Director, IT&C, Mr. Johnny Humtsoe, SO, IT&C, Mr. Sabou Yashu & Mr. Daniel Krocha, Program Officers, and Mr. Yanger Longkumer, Project Assistant, IT&C held fruitful discussion with Technopark Officials consisting of Mr. Mervin Alexander, CEO-Technopark, Mr. KV.Rajendran, GM- Technical, Mr. K.C.C Nair, Secretary & Registrar, T-TBI, Mr. M Vasudevan , Sr Manager Business Development, Mr. Venu,Manager, Land Acquisition.
The Nagaland team held discussion with Shri.T.Balakrishnan IAS, Addl Chief Secretary Govt of Kerala and also met His Excellency Rashid Al Leem, Director General, Hamriyah Free Zone.
The Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Nagaland engaged in the promotion & management of Information Technology (IT) in the State of Nagaland is now undertaking development and operation/ maintenance of the Nagaland IT Park Project through Public-Private Partnership (the “PPP”) on Design, Build & Transfer (DBT) or Design, Build, Operate & Transfer (DBOT) basis.
The official also visited the Kerala State IT Mission and held discussions with Ms. Ishita Roy IAS, Director- IT Mission, Mr. Korath V. Mathew, Director, Akshaya to study about the working of the respective centres. An interaction with some successful Technology Companies from T-TBI was also. The delegates also visited the Infosys Campus to study about their green buildings.
