Beneath The Winter Moon

A spiritual painter draws red across the blue
While the stars dance and frolic far above,
The twilight cradles the land on a lullaby,
When the evening wind sings for the night.
The red lotus blossoms upon the morning beam,
Across the raging oceans and burning flames,
A wounded soul lies deep in the barren wastes
Longing for a heart to take it away to a new dawn,
In the depths of the soul, lies an eternal promise,
Of everlasting love that lives on forever.
Losing myself in the pages of history,
Searching through the legends of antiquity,
Falling in despair at the cruel hands of fate, so painful.
As each dark night opens into a beautiful dawn,
When the shadows become one within the night,
Dream, I shall, beneath the fading winter moon.
