KERALA IT @ JAPAN IT WEEK
Nine organisations representing the Kerala's IT industry is participating in the Japan IT Week, at Tokyo, being held from 11 to 13 May 2016. The delegation forms a part of Edition IV of Global IT Connect, a joint initiative of the Department of IT, Government of Kerala and Group of Technology Companies (GTech), the industry body of IT companies in Kerala.
Indian Pavilion was inaugurated by Mr. Amit Kumar, Dy. Chief of Mission, Embassy of India (Left side) and Mr. D.K. Screen (Centre) Exe. Director , electronics & Computer Software Export Promotion council.
A NASSCOM CEO Forum will be held on 18th May 2016 at Technopark, Trivandrum. This workshop aims at imparting necessary finance management skills and basic accounting knowledge among the IT CEOs. Competency in financial knowledge will help the CEOs to strategize better to maximize shareholder value and profits. Active participation of everyone is expected.
PUSATAKA NIRAVU 2016 
Prathidhwani, the socio-cultural organization of Technopark, Trivandrum and Kerala Bala Sahitya Institute are organizing a one week long programme “Pustaka Niravu” which started off on May 5th and will end on May 12th. It was officially inaugurated in Thejaswini building, Technopark Trivandrum on May 5, 2016 by famous poet, Smt. Rose Mary. As part of the programme, a competition based on Malayalam literature was held for children of Technopark employees on May 7, 2016. Over 300 books published by Kerala Bala Sahitya Institute was showcased during the course of the event.
 
Prakruthi, an organisation of Technopark, Trivandrum dedicated to promote greenery has officially started with preparations for Kuttykrishi. It is a project that extends support to educational institutions to set up model farms in their premises. Prakruthi will be providing 50 growbags, plants and irrigation system for its execution. It is also extending technical support and training for schools.
A HELPING HAND
Techfriends, a voluntary forum of Technopark, Trivandrum, is organizing ‘A Helping Hand’ where a total of 600 rice kits and 100 school kits will be distributed for free at Puthukurichy on Friday, 20th May, 2016. All are requested to make their presence felt on the occasion.
BLOOM (BLOOd Movement) camp was organized today, 7th May 2016 by Tejus the voluntary blood forum of Technopark, Trivandrum at Museum compound along with KEBS, Sahrudhaya, Sanchari, 93.5 FM and Zoo Department. It ended with 52 successful donations to SCT hospital. All these camps are aimed at creating 100% self sufficiency in VBD@ RCC & SCT by 2020. RJ Parvathi was the special guest of the function. This will be conducted on first saturday of every month at Museum premises, Trivandrum from 9AM to 1PM. It also marked the 77th camp of Tejus. Donors willing to donate can send an email to help@tejusindia.com. Extend your support to their future endeavours.
