In its pursuit to become one of the leading IT destinations in India, Technopark today signed a MoU with the Brigade Group to set up World Trade Centre at Technocity. The MoU was signed between Mr.Jaishankar CMD Brigade Enterprises Ltd and Mr.Hrishikesh Nair CEO Technopark ; handed over in presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri.Pinarayi Vijayan along with Hon’ble Minister for Co-operation, Tourism & Devaswom Shri.Kadakampally Surendran and IT Secretary Shri.M.Sivasankar IAS.
Technopark has allotted around 12 acres of land to Brigade to build the World Trade Centre. The total development will be 2.5 million sq.ft. and the project will generate employment for 15,000 people. The iconic IT built up space is proposed to be part of a larger mixed use development, with allied facilities including hotel, serviced apartments, hostel for working professionals and neighbourhood retail and entertainment. Brigade Group holds WTC licenses for all the major cities in South India viz. Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram and Hyderabad. World Trade Centers, are licensed members of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), New York. There are over 300 members in nearly 100 countries.
